In pathology where bone stock is severely deficient, the B-P knee System includes modular revision components that provide stem fixation in addition to the usual compressive surface fixation. Shaft fractures can also be traversed with the help of a stem. This system has 5 parts Modular Femoral Component : It is designed to replace the complicated geometry of the femoral articular surface while retaining an anatomical valgus angle.Curvature radii decrease in a coordinated fashion from anterior to posterior to provide full flexion while maintaining excellent bearing congruency with either tibial component. The design's geometry also accommodates the varus-valgus and rotary motions. It accepts a wide range of extension stem diameters and lengths. Modular Tibial Bearing : In the absence of viable cruciate ligaments, this component is used to provide functional stability through proper tension control of the knee's surrounding soft tissues. These bearings are available in a variety of thicknesses to allow for flexibility in tibial bone resection, to correct gross deformities, and to be extremely useful in revision arthroplasties. To facilitate bearing replacement with the metallic components in place, a modular bearing with a removable stem is available. Modular Tibial Component : Accepts the same extension stems that the Revision Femor does. Unless spinout is induced, stop does not engage the bearing. When this happens, spin is limited, and normal compression of the joint results in self-reduction of the bearing to its normal orientation. Modular Stems : The stems come in diameters ranging from 10 to 16 mm in 2 mm increments. Lengths available are 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm, and 150 mm. The connection is dependable, convenient, and free of micro-movement. Wedges : There are options for distal, posterior, and tibial wedges. Metallic implants are used to compensate for bone loss. A number of such augments are available for both femoral and tibial augmentation. There are six sizes and two thicknesses of distal femoral augments available (5 and 10 mm). Posterior Femoral Augments are available in six different sizes and three different thicknesses (5, 10, and 15 mm). Tibial augments are available in six different sizes and three different thicknesses (5, 10 and 15 mm).
