During late Summer/early Autumn bears red and orange trumpet shaped flowers making this a superb focal point to the garden when planted against a sunny wall or trellis. Highly attractive to many garden friendly insects, including bees and butterflies. Looking after your Campsis Madame Galen Campsis Madame Glen is generally maintenance free, preferring moist but well drained soil in a sheltered, sunny position against a wall or trellis or could be trained over an arbour or pergola, grows well in shade but full sun will ensure excellent colourful flowers. In Spring apply a good layer of mulch around the base of the plant to help keep the soil moist during the Summer months, at the same time giving a good feed of general purpose slow release fertiliser to help promote new growth in the coming season. Any pruning required should be done during the dormant season, late Autumn/early Spring before any buds are formed.
