HAEMOWAX - Sterile Bonewax 2.5 g is a non-absorbable hemostatic bone wax used for surgical procedures, especially in orthopedic, cranial, and spinal surgeries. It is a mixture of beeswax, paraffin, and isopropyl palmitate, which acts as a mechanical tamponade to control bleeding from bone surfaces. It does not act biochemically and is non-toxic. It is easy to use, available sterile in individual foil envelopes of 2.5 g, and sterilized by Gamma radiation. Each packet should be opened just prior to use to avoid contamination and excessive drying. It should not be re-sterilized or subjected to excessive heat.
